UNESCO has announced that 26 new sites will be added to its World Heritage List this year. World Heritage Sites are determined by UNSECO to be places on Earth that are of historical and cultural value to humanity. Here are 10 of the most stunning new additions...

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Yes that's right, pretty much the entire city of Rio de Janeiro has been given world heritage status. The area in question is actually officially described as "the Carioca Landscapes between the Mountain and the Sea," which include the Botanical Gardens, Corcovado Mountain and the famous statue of Christ, the hills around Guanabara Bay and Copacabana Bay. Barry Manilow would be proud.
