Quebec City, Que.
There's something about strolling along cobblestone streets and taking in the crisp autumn air against a radiant backdrop of deep pumpkin and scarlet leaves in this historic city. Located only a few minutes from downtown, Parc de la Chute-Montmorency affords splendid views of the maple trees flanking the St. Lawrence River. Perhaps the best spot to view nature's annual striptease is in the Jacques-Cartier region. The city's green crescent turns all shades in autumn.
